Canadian ammoilte ammonite fossil.

This  blue zone ammonite fossil has a rainbow of colors with purple, blue, green, red, yellow and the colors shift color in a chromatic shift.   There is an actual rainbow of colors on the top flat center of the fossil that is quite stunning.

The color shift on the fossil shift from green to blue, green to yellow and orange is absolutely stunning.  The purples and blues are deep and shift into bright greens and yellows.  

There are striations visible that give a radiating energy to the fossil.

This fossil is a beautiful specimen.  It would be the highlight for any collection.

Geological Time: Cretaceous Period, + /- 71,000,000 years ago.

This stone has a protective shell of high quality epoxy resin over it to protect the gemstone and amplify the stones natural beauty.

Ammonite fossils and large collector pieces are most often coated as well for both stability and to bring out their colors.
