Canadian ammoilte ammonite fossil. Freestanding.
Origin: Bear Paw Formation , Alberta , Canada.

This gem grade meeki ammonite fossil has a rainbow of colors.  The fossil has rare purples, blues green, yellow red and a Chromatic color shift.   The blues shift into the greens forming a beautiful turquoise color.  The fossil has a full body and is not compressed. 

It will be a fantastic display piece and a great addition to any collection.


Geological Time: Cretaceous Period, + /- 71,000,000 years ago.

This stone has a protective shell of high quality epoxy resin over it to protect the gemstone and amplify the stones natural beauty.

Ammonite fossils and large collector pieces are most often coated as well for both stability and to bring out their colors.
